Where did 2012 begin?

January 1, 2012:  Like every year, New Year’s Eve is the biggest family time on my Dad’s side.  We always go to my aunt’s house, eat really well, hang out, and shoot off a spectacular fireworks show out in the country.   I literally began 2012 by lighting fireworks and spending time with my family.   Looking at Tweets from January 1st, I went to a worship service at Calvary that day and then watched Sweet Home Alabama for the first time…don’t judge!

Where did 2012 begin in other ways?

Well, I just finished my first semester of my sophomore year, and would not be returning to Mississippi College in the next few weeks.  Instead, I was preparing to leave the USA and spend three months in London.  I was nervous, yet totally excited about what my time studying abroad would bring.

Spiritually, I had just had one of the biggest semesters of growth in my relationship with God after growing so much the summer before working CentriKid. At this point, I was spending time preparing myself to remove myself from everything normal because I knew that being in London would either be a major time of growth in my spiritual life or either a major setback.
